Friends and loved ones gathered at an Antelope park in County on Friday to remember 16-year-old Kirill Trush who was stabbed and killed near the Tower Bridge in West over the weekend.

The family remembered the 16-year-old victim, who attended an Antelope high school, as someone who had a vibrant spirit.

The victim in a fatal stabbing in West Sacramento on Saturday was identified as a Sacramento-area teen. The Yolo County Coroner’s Office said the person found under Tower Bridge around 5:15 p.m. was 16-year-old Kirill Trush.

Saturday’s stabbing took place around 5:15 pm directly under the bridge and adjacent to the River Walk Park, officers said in a release Sunday. The death was ruled a homicide after police determined an altercation took place before the stabbing that left the individual with “multiple stab wounds.” The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
